I think it is nice - cool reflections, they like each other.

thanks Piet...not sure I'm completely happy with the textured vignette yet..if at all

Edit: I think the lightness bottom was bothering me..drawing the eye too much.

A revision: what say y'all

It's a sweet remembrance and speaks volumes about their relationship. So well caught, for their interaction and expressions in a setting they both obviously love.

Word of caution from the female perspective: the daughter may not like the angle. Though shooting from either side would cost some detail in the faces, women are typically not flattered from a straight on angle with legs extended and flat which implies heaviness by illusion. My daughters in law would shoot me if I angled them like this and I don't mean with a camera. You could do some gentle shaping to mitigate the illusion.

I LOVE the textured vignetting!. Great job.

I am liking the outside textures also - it is very painterly.

It turns a snapshot into something more. You seldom see photographers do this unless they shot ina studio but I think the artistic effect is just as valuable if not more so for candid portraits.

I've fiddled a bit and will PM you what I did, since I have no confidence in it.
