Car Shopping in the 40's

Post by davechinn »

1940s Day at Lunken Airport 2018 on the tarmac. So many photo opts, wishing hoping there will be another in 2019.

Always practicing/experimenting with various forms of post processing. Here, we have a lady dressed for the time era of the 40's, observing a 1947 Cadillac. I'm not sure the attire of lady to the right posing in front of another 40's vehicle after the rain. Seems that sepia tone fits, but would like the thoughts of others.

Wonderfully authentic in subject matter and style, with good composition to go along with it. Love the angle you chose for this.

Like many good photographs, it would be just as effective in a hard, sharp focused kind of processing, but the soft dreamy sepia is an excellent choice.

Thank you Minnie !!! You are right, hard, sharp focused processing would be effective as well, but as you know, with many of us, always trying to move forward to see what sticks. Not sure how long this particular style will be with me, but I'm pretty well satisfied with (SOME) of the applied images. It's always interesting to see what's in line down the road when the crystal ball is working.
