'Country Cowboy'

Taken at Keeneland horse racetrack 2018 in Lexington, Ky. While there I couldn't help but notice many with cigars and/or cheroots. This is one of three I captured that caught my attention and have already posted one. As always, experimenting with the camera and post processing. Both seem to go hand in hand. Thoughts and/or comments?

Frank this is the updated version. I usually run the high pass filter on all of my images, but somehow did not with this one. I have since made the suggested adjustments along with some exposure adjustment. I'm posting both versions for comparison, Thanks for the suggestions Frank

Both are excellent, just different renditions of the same very strong photograph. The top one is dreamier and the second is richer. Horses for courses, it depends only on your intent and preference. The quality is there in both. Eyes and gesture dominate both.

Both wonderful images Dave...while my suggestion is not as noticeable in the second now that you have darkened the exposure I do think it draws the viewer in...well done Dave and am enjoying the race track series.

Thanks Minnie, I actually feel the same. Both are subjective to one's own preference. Altho, I did notice in the first edit, only after posting elsewhere, that his left eye had issues, but I didn't decide to make any adjustments until Frank commented and brought it to my attention, which was confirmation that I should make some adjustments. So, I decided to re-edit and post here for critique and observation.

Thanks Frank, I appreciate the heads up and I do have a few more to post. I just don't want to flood the site !!! I'll try and post at an even pace.
