New Orleans Ladies #6 - Centered

Post by minniev » Thu Oct 04, 2018 2:26 pm

Dave has some good shots of the redhead that I missed because I didn't have my zoom lens on camera at the time so was pretty much stuck with my kitchen sink format. And because he's still better than me at this stuff!

Thanks Frank. The softening in the back grouping is painted in with gaussian blur, and the front group is softened with a glow filter at low opacity. I like the richness that Glow introduces with figures that would otherwise be a bit harsh looking.

She was having a good ole time, thats for sure !!! Danchin' to the beat of one of the many "Bucket Drummers" we encountered, but the one she was dancin' to had a cymbal, which made his beat much more enjoyable to listen to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yZ1ODNePmE
I have a few I'll post later. I like yours 'kitchen sink' and all. The other ladies in the frame sets the scene to the environment, IMO.

My version of her alone. This was suppose to be a candid shot, but as you can see .... I got caught and she did not mind a bit. As a matter a fact, I think she enjoyed the attention.

I was tempted to convert to B&W, but that would have taken away her hair color, but I dis tone down the saturation a bit.

I'm curious to see the others but I say keep throwing the kitchen sink at it! S-
