In Montego Bay, #1

Post by minniev » Mon Mar 05, 2018 5:41 pm

Montego Bay was worthy of exploration but was troubling in many ways, challenging in others, so my photos may seem kinda weird.

Used Analog Efex to emulate an old color film, grain and odd light, just because it seemed to need it. All comments appreciated.

Composed well and taken from a good perspective you have a nice capture here minniev..I find the subject here interesting enough to want his face brought out of the shadows just a bit and a tighter crop but do understand your need for the kitchen sink.

Thanks Piet, there will be more but I think this might have been my favorite.

Thanks Frank. I didn't want to give up the flowers or the metal bars, and to be honest I didn't feel as confident getting up close and personal in Jamaica as I do in the US, since I didn't know how to ask permission or forgiveness in their language.

Love this image, Minnie !!! To me, the composition is near perfect as can be. The mystery shown here with the subject fascinates me. A well captured image for sure.

Everything about this works, the expression, composition, surroundings, processing, everything. It makes me sad. S-
