They say on of the key measurements of a boxer is his hand speed. If that is the case this guy must be pretty fast

From the look of this (and my experience with fire :D) it looks like the gloves are actually on fire.
Did you use some form of incendiary gel or just some lighter fluid and off to town?

Yes they are actually burning and these were the only two frames we captured before the model freaked out. We used rubber cement

Hmm, wouldn't have thought of rubber cement (even though I've used it so often). How much damage was done to the leather?

Other than a slight blemish there was no damage.

The pose in the first looks awkward and his face timid where the pose is better in the second, sadly the face looks out of focus.

I wouldn't have thought of rubber cement and am surprised it didn't cause any harm to the gloves. Neat trick! S-

Yea this model hired by the client was a model not a fighter, he was intimidated by the shot and only provided us the one opportunity in which I was able to grab 5 quick exposures before he started loosing it afraid he was going to get burnt. The face is OOF on the second one

Like lighter fluid the only thing that burned was the cement. The difference is with fluid it is virtually smokeless and with the rubber cement we got great billowing black smoke.
