Candy - Biker Babe

Post by Coral » Fri Dec 12, 2014 4:48 pm

I had this shoot set up to use a friends bike and also my husband's bike but wouldn't you know it when we started to go to the location of the shoot my husband couldn't get his bike started. So . . used our friend's bike. Have shot with this model a lot and she is awesome. She is getting a lot of work published now.

Really captivating images here Coral. I am not sure I am crazy about the hear light here it just seems a little flat. You might also want to look at the saturation levels of the Reds as they are appearing over saturated on my monitor to the point of clipping resulting in a lack of detail in the reds,

Being a life-long rider and enthusiast of most anything with internal combustion engines, these images got my attention. So, on the top one with the girl on the bike, is the model really petite or is the bike unusually large, or is it just me? I also am just a little distracted by the buildings on the horizon and wonder if the image wouldn't be a little stronger if you cloned them out, maybe leaving the horizon line uncluttered by buildings and expanding the runway across the bottom half of the frame. Nice bike, nice model, interesting shots.
I am thankful that I have eyes that can see and that I am ego-less enough that I can occasionally learn new stuff from harsh criticism. I am thankful for a world full of interesting things to look at and photograph. And, I am thankful that I have the health to schlepp my camera gear around with me, a desire to improve my skills . . . and I hope I have the wisdom to know the difference.

Thanks! Hi, Dave nice to meet you! Sluggo the model is about 5-7, 5-8 the bike? I think it was the angle I shot it at? I see what you mean a about cloning out the distractions in the background. Candy is my favorite model. Have shot with her about 8-9 times. When she first joined model meyhem I was the first to shoot with her and she was my second model shoot. She had modeled before but just got back into it. She has since become internationally published and is shooting with some of the "big boys". LOL. Shot this in September of this year.
