Thanks Tom. This is actually the same image. It looses a lot when shrunk down and cropped.

Oh, sorry. I thought you had substitute photos there (my memory is poor and I didn't go back to look before commenting).

Duck, I do like this one. I think the expression is captured well and compliments the processing and framing of the image.
Very nice.. :)

I think you have done a marvelous job here Duck, I don't know him but I think it fits his look extremely well. Splendid detail and processing. Only nitpick is against a black background there is a white sport on the right side eye level.

I am so not an expert that I really hesitate to comment, but thought, none-the-less, that you might like to know how I view this image. I basically like how you captured him, but it almost looks to me like someone has give him a black eye. Perhaps lightening up the area below the eye above the cheekbone and maybe even up the side of the nose a bit would lessen the impression of a black eye. Also, the total darkness of about a fourth of the image was, for me, too consuming overall. My druthers would be to see a more gentle tapering into the darkness revealing slightly more his face, especially the outer corners of his eye and mouth.

Wow, I didn't even see that. Good catch.
