Todays session with John (Onslow)

Post by Nikodian1 » Sat Aug 22, 2015 7:55 am

Today we had our first outdoor session with John very patiently teaching us mottley lot portraiture,
I learnt a lot today with sunny 16 & so on! I have missed some of the focus on the eyes but I had so much more maths going on in my head!

Looks to me like you have learned a lot. Must have a pretty good teacher?

Yes he is! He takes lots of deep breaths when we frustrate the hell out of him, very patient man!

Nice collection of shots Jenny!
Portraiture is tough. There are so many little details to attend to. A person could spend hundreds of hours learning about posing alone, let alone all the other little bits that go into it.
Depending on your software, I would suggest playing with these a bit more in your post production. I think that if you experiment a bit more with your white balance, contrast, and saturation, you might find results that you like even better. You might want to clean up a few of the specks on some of the clothing too.
Still, a very nice collection of shots from your outing.

Thanks for your tips Tom.
I will have some more play time with them. I think baby Evie is looking a little pale! she needs warming up!
I have lightroom and Photoshop.
Your advise is always appreciated and taken onboard.
