Nice family candid, with a well balanced composiiton. I like the old fashioned processing approach.

It is a cute image and has a lot of potential for being a stunning candid portrait. For me, though, the shadow of he man's shoulder and that of the girl's hair run parallel to each other. Coupled with the similarity of tones and the back of the little girl's hair gets lost. Perhaps dodging the top of the hair and burning the lower back of the head will create some definition there. The other things, for me, is that bird in the background. It keeps pulling my eye away from the family.

With your permission...

Thank you Steve we will see....

Duck, thank you for your time, you are correct about the hair, I actually had thought about darkening it at one point and just forgot, well done. I understand your distraction and a point well made..after looking at your rendition I may clone it out rather than crop as I'm not sure I like the change in composition. I appreciate your efforts and thank you again for comment....

No problem. Suggestions are just that. You take what works, leave the rest. If nothing, someone else sees this and get ideas of their own. It's all about the process, right? ;)
