Is it the water color or sky or both Linda? No to sun reflection...may just need to relook my attempt here..I'll admit to not being totally happy with this one myself but wasn't sure what's bugging me so posted for comment.

There's an overall dark teal (I think) that maybe I just haven't seen before. And you know how everyone's monitors can be different. I have often seen a strong cyan sky with neon orange-pink clouds, and have thought, "If I photographed that and presented as seen, nobody would believe." :|

Now let me try Duck's thumbs  Oh, I see, there is a character; it's next to YAY YAY YAY :D

You are so right, Linda. Somewhere in my collection I have these 'roiling' clouds in a fantastic shade of cyan that just blew me away when I first saw it. Talk about an alien sky...

The size of the sun is what gets my attention. I have previously seen sunset/rises (what appears to be an optical illusion) but don't think that's the case with this image because it's so close to the horizon. The city appears to be in a haze, and along with the huge sun is what draws me in all the way past the greenery discussion. Does it need more work? Yes, but I do like it as is because of what I have already mentioned.

It's amazing how much the lights at the bottom-right add to the image! S-
