Tried some techniques to emulate wet plate processing for this civil war fort scene.

I would not worry about the white specs... when I first saw this image, I thought it was a historical documentation image you pulled up someplace. You were 100 percent successful in capturing the mood of those types of images, and it is Super Cool to boot!

Thanks. The Analog Efex component of the Nik filters has quite a toolset for creating such things, but it requires a fair amount of fiddling to get something specific that you want. I don't find the presets useful for more than just a starting place.
