I love photographing while having to take a Ferry from the Olympic Peninsula.

Best to ya, Ernst

Oh, Yes.... I've seen earlier work almost showing the same scene
The question I have to ask Ernst. Did you take the shot out of focus or done in P/P?
I'm gonna say you deliberately shot out of focus.

I could look at this for a long, long time. In fact, I have looked at it for a long, long time. It is restful. Mysteriously restful. If I did not know what it was I don't think I could ever figure out what it was, but it would not matter. It puts me in mind of Wyeth's Wind From the Sea.

(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

Ed, Yes you more than likely have seen a similar image from me as I tend to revisit certain images many times. Here it's all about "bokeh", shot wide open. ;-)

Thanks Charles for the comment.

Best to ya, Ernst

This is all about shape and line and lighting. It looks like it was shot through something - glass or fabric or both - in addition to the settings having their own contribution to make. Interesting effect, visually pleasing, and peaceful.

This is a clever use of shallow DOF to create an almost abstract. I like it a lot it's both restful and stimulating

It looks like you shot this with a white wall on the right and the open area on the left, but I would have never thought to shoot wide open and accept it. This is pure inspiration and it's still boggling my mind of why I like it. There's nothing to look at and yet so much. Neat!

Thank you so much for sharing this with us! S-

Rather than starting a new thread on the same subject I'll just keep adding to this thread and will do like wise for my other projects.

Here is something that I play with at times.

Can you explain the editing marks? S-

Back in the film days we would mark our contact sheets with a grease pencil, this just takes that alittle further.
