Yes, most of them were behind glass except for the turtles. It caused a few problems, but managed to get most of them cleaned up in post.

Again, you have done a great job of eliminating the "zoo" from the picture (except 2.6 plate of goodies). The turtle shots could have been taken in the Galapagos at the Conservation farm where they are raising them for re-introduction into the wild.

It can be a challenge, shooting thru glass, wires, bars, and such. I think this zoo does a great job of letting you get a clear shot where they can and still maintain safety for folks and critters. They put a good bit of effort into making the critters' homes look like something more than just a cage. They try to provide them with activities to do too.
