Dragonflies at the pond

Duck, that first image in particular works really well for me. With a darkened background, I feel it really brings the subject forward into the image.... Well done. :)

Nice shots Duck. Especially like the last one. I know how hard it is to catch 'em in flight. Or rather I know how much I've failed to. :D

I live 8 minutes away from Sikorsky, a major military helicopter manufacturer. This is their latest camouflage tactic on their military aircraft designed to look like an insect. :-D

I was fortunate enough to have one that was content in just hovering back and forth. It took a while for me to get a decent shot. Believe me, it's more luck than skill here. Thanks for looking.

Thanks John. These were shot at the edge of a pond so I was just under the shade of a tree. It was also later in the evening so light was coming in at a strong angle. Thanks.
