A captivating mix of abandoned decay and personal but anonymous statement; rust, holes in the walls, and the careful calligraphy of ES. A yin/yang by someone to not let the place vanish unremembered. Memorable image, Bob. Matt

Gee, I like this one a lot because of all the textures, and how well you've rendered all those zones involved in making the textures come alive. We have a lot of buildings in the delta made out of this corrugated tin stuff, and I sometimes struggle to get the metallic sheen to come through while still protecting the highlights. You've done well.

Thank you, Minnie. Some of those materials definitely present a challenge, but with knowledge and skill, they can be rendered well. So, don't just go out and shoot those, keep notes as to what you did and why. Analyze those photos during processing to see what works and what doesn't. Once you catch those minor skills, you'll have it mastered.

I really like this one, but don't tell me where it is or I'll be tempted to go inside! S-

St3v3, I can tell you exactly where it was. No worries about going inside. It was torn down a few weeks after I took some photos of the place. If you'd like, I can post coordinates and you can go to Google Earth and still see the foundations of the silos.
