Maine Street, Monhegan, moderate traffic
My favorite spot for photos, and my favorite island cat.

She was very laid back. She liked Duck best of all. There was another who kept sneaking into the house, and would even get in the refrigerator. All the animals are most friendly.

I have to admit, it was a pretty cat.

Thank you. I have to admit, she was a pretty cat. And surprisingly extremely friendly at that.

Lovely image of your favorite island cat. Absolutely great composition with the road/trail use for a leading line into the sunlit houses. Love it, love it !!!
Duck's backlit cat is an adorable image as well !!! Sometimes a vision one has CAN be blind to others. I was standing right there next to Duck (as well as you, Minnie, I think) when he captured this image and I did not necessarily envision of the possibility of an excellent final outcome. Nice Duck !!!

To be honest, this is not a typical shot I normally make. I love backlight, specially with flowers, but this one was completely a wildcard shot as there was so much direct light into the lens. That was one of the wonderful things about going out shooting with you guys, it took me away from my typical routines and allowed me to stretch a bit. Even if I played it fairly safe a good portion of the, the rest was pure fun in the experimentation. This was one of them. I'm glad you find some inspiration from it, as I did.

We had a grey cat called Reb - for his color, that looked very much like this one. Anyway, Cool shots and thank you for sharing your memories and experiences on the island.
