yes, I understand, they are uncontrolled "all in" motion and can hurt themselves. Bring him a cookie once in a while, or if you really love him, bring him something from outside that he can sniff.
He does love his cookies, or a dinner napkin, or a couch cushion...

Lovely scene. Beautiful light. Can't get more gorgeous than that, but you know me, I prefer tighter compositions on a subject. I would also up the contrast on the darkness to pull focus to the house and yard and add some mood and increase the cinematic feel. But that's just me, for what it's worth :D

Thanks Duck, I'll try the contrast trick, I did try a cinematic feel but probably didn't go far enough.

And you know ya'll will probably never break me of my kitchen sink habit. I can now force myself to simplify though, and did take some closer in. I liked the idea of the house swamped in summer green stuff, hiding at the end of the road, my perfect little jewel. But yeah, I admit emotions get in the way of photography sometime, though without it, we might grow stale. Mixed bag! Appreciate your input. I want to print this one on the nice little batch of Hahnemuhle German Etching paper I just treated myself to.

BTW, you have not yet contributed to my gallery wall. What can I do to persuade you to share an image? You don't even have to print it, just give me the digital file and I'll do it here. My gallery isn't quite as extensive as Ernst's but I really am loving it.

Well, Tractor Man got her waked up and she mowed some the following day. I don't try to keep the whole 20 acres around the house mowed, I just try to keep the forest at bay. Last week it definitely had the advantage on me, but I'm pushing back!

Hmm... I'll have to think what would be worthy of such a prestige offer. I don't do much in the form of 'art' photography. I prefer the more boring comercial stuff :D

I've seen reference to your taking photos in forests (and never being satisfied with them, which I suffer with as well). Maybe one of them?

Or a simple "product" type photo of some blueberries or blackberries or other common fruit/vegetable. I need some more art for the kitchen or dining room! I'm working on a pictures of a bowl of oranges and tomatoes right now but it isn't working out as I'd hoped.

Not that it's any of my business, but maybe one from "Kitchen knife" or "Pears, peppers and blueberries"......a couple I remember for some reason..
