Welcome Home
Got back home to my country house after a month of local flooding and my own sickness. Zeke was happy to race up and down the long road to the house. All suggestions appreciated, as I just got an inspiration to make a photo book/web gallery about the resurrection of the house for family members that live away and don't get a chance to see what we're doing/have done.
Spring grass is always so lime-colored here. I've toned it down some but it still looks lime.

I agree that it seems a bit flat. some local contrast would probably give it the needed punch.
For me though... I'm all about the subject rather than the subject and all its surroundings. Here is a crop I feel really draws you in and tells the story without really sacrificing too much. Share your thoughts.

I’ll work on the contrast, I agree it needs something. The lighting was odd, overcast above me but breaking up above the house. I didn’t figure out what to do with it.

Thanks, I like the crop, it cuts through those ragged not-quite-spring trees. And makes more of the dog.Duck wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 11:04 pm

Such an inviting image Minnie !!! There's nothing like an excited dog to greet you. I like both versions (yours & Duck's) but can't make a decision to which I favor most.

ha! Zeke is very happy to see you and his ears have a beautiful flop to them. I like the original for the panorama and the crop for Zeke.

I liked his airborne self. Unfortunately, he's hurt his leg romping around and is now lame and confined to the couch for a week. He seems pretty pitiful.PietFrancke wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 2:05 amha! Zeke is very happy to see you and his ears have a beautiful flop to them. yes, I understand, they are uncontrolled "all in" motion and can hurt themselves. Bring him a cookie once in a while, or if you really love him, bring him something from outside that he can sniff.
