Independence Pass

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independe ... (Colorado)

This could be landmark or landscape, I guess. it's an interesting place, at 12,000 ft. Hard to breathe there, and scary since the road is right on the edge with no guardrails, sometimes narrowing to one lane that serves both directions. Snow made it even more interesting. There are a few old buildings left from a mining village in another century. The view is amazing regardless.

All suggestions appreciated. Not much processing on this one, just a little LR fiddling. It was pretty much already black and white.

Unfortunately there wasn't much to see, pretty much of a white out till we crossed the crest, then we came to the site of the old town of Independence. I'll see if I got anything there.

Reminds me of some of the raw winter days of our 11 year sojourn in Montana. If it hadn't been for skiing on the weekends, doubt we would have been able to tolerate the time there. Summers, though, made it worthwhile. There was always summer. Matt

Since we have little winter here, it was a good experience to be in the elements a while, just to see what it's like. Photographing snow and ice is a novelty for me.
