Little Cabin In The Woods

Hiking in the Cummins Falls state park in TN, came upon this little cabin that I suspect belonged to the family that ran the mill that was powered by this falls in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Love the overall feeling of it! I would have tried to place the roof peak either noticeably below or noticeably above the horizon- rather than coincident with it. The former would emphasize its diminutive nature, the latter its compositional significance and relative impactive strength.

Thanks Dave for good ideas. I probably could have got it below, though maybe not above. I hope to go back again but I won't have those nice colors.
