Lovely shot Bob. The clouds are an amazing as yours typically are, with all the delicious details. The scene itself has a bit of an illusion built into it, whether you meant it that way or not. There is an initial impression, to me at least, that I'm looking at and beneath water. That illusion is an attention grabber, and makes me look and look again to figure out what it is that I'm looking at. I like this one a lot!

Thank you, Minnie. There was no overt attempt to photograph this with any illusion at all. It was pretty much a striaght forward photograph of The Canyon with clouds moving in.

Quite truthfully, there was a controlled burn happening not far from The Canyon and the air, especially within the canyon itself, was quite smoky. I used every trick I knew to get more details within the photograph.
