I like the subtle colors of the first. It is almost like a dutone except for the greens of the plants. But the monochrome looks more like a Matt Quinn. In it, you manage the reflection on the wet boardwalk so that it leads us to the lone viewer. It works out to be a stronger image in monochrome I think.

I'm usually a b/w fan but for some reason I prefer the color on this one Matt....

Matt, Frank took the words right out of my mouth. Not saying that the B&W is not good, it's just in this case the color has more appeal to me.

Thanks Frank. The color captures the memory of that moment for me and I can still feel the morning chill and hear the Atlantic , but the mono makes it more of a mystery and a universal experience , I think. Matt

I think the mono is too dark, too moody for this image, and it's hard to beat orange and blue. Artist Choice! S-
