Death Valley - November 2014
I had the good fortune of being able to attend a workshop in Death Valley that was put on by Michael P. Gordon and Guy Tal. It was a fantastic experience, so I thought it would be fitting for my first post to share a couple of my images from that trip. As I process more of them, I will share them in future postings.
When you get closer to the dunes, their surfaces look like this.
I do want to go back, but for anyone looking for a tour of Death Valley, I cannot help but recommend this one. Michael and Guy are very knowledgeable photographers. The scenery is absolutely fantastic. I will be going back, but I think I would go back in the month of April, when the desert flowers are blooming.

You only get one sunrise and one sunset a day, and you only get so many days on the planet. A good photographer does the math and doesn't waste either. - Galen Rowell

Thanks Tom. Glad you like them.

P.S. How can I edit my original post? I want to change a bit of the wording in the last part.

Love the colors, shadows and light on the undulating dunes. The rippled sand in the second shot almost seems to move when I look at.

Rust and Ceropegia, thanks for your kind words. The rippled sand dunes have an almost infinite variety of patterns that you could spend hours photographing.
