Yakima, WA

Postby Ernst-Ulrich Schafer » Wed Jun 07, 2017 12:14 am

I was visiting earlier this year and while attending the Professional Photographers of WA Convention I did make alittle time to get out and explore.

Linda, I will be coming back to Yakima next week for a Wall Portrait Conference, I would enjoy meeting up?

Best to ya, Ernst

Those are pretty wonderful urban-architecture shots, especially like that first one. They benefitted well from your processing approach.

I love these as documentary shots that could easily fill a coffee table book showing the reality of life in a small town.

These are wonderful and I'm jealous! S-

Mid-June through end of August around here is pretty boring IMO. The vivid pink of the cheat grass is gone and the hills are quickly turning brown, the orchards are all just "leaves." Often there is no weather except hot :) My favorite summer photos are usually shot up by Mt Rainier. However, the Yakima River Canyon offers many delights if you've never driven through (access from Yakima is just north of Selah at the I-82 exit for Yakima Training Center and SR 821):
