The Saga of the Chair (November 2004 to March 2016)

Postby Ceropegia » Sun Mar 06, 2016 11:20 am

November 24, 2004, a plastic chair that washed downstream during a flood wound up getting snagged on some branches that hung over a creek that borders my property and has remained there for eleven and a half years now despite several ensuing floods.

The first photo shows it in the swirling water during the flood that carried it downstream and then the following spring (April 2005), the second shows it at the end of March 2013, and the last one yesterday (March 6, 2016). Because the creek is still quite high, I cannot tell exactly how mangled it has become after the recent severe floods we have had, but it looks like it may now be quite broken up.

Maybe it will disappear with the next decade or two. :)
