I've seen these posted by others but never even imagined how they constructed it. Nicely done. It looks like a lot of work! Love that delicate progression of color throughout the series.

It really wasn't all that much work. Using PS Elements, I just picked and edited the images I wanted to use, cropped each into a square shape, selected and copied each square into a new blank file of approximately the right size, adjusted them all to be about the same size, lined then up, and cropped the new file to fit.

very cool - I screwed up my shots... Way too much noise for my camera and I tried a long lens to zoom in, but not enough light when the colors were so beautiful. Makes me want to get a clean full moon shot and drop the colors onto it. Anyway, nice job!

Thanks! Sorry you weren't able to get any shots. I managed to forget to take my lens cap off during the total solar eclipse. Couldn't figure out what was wrong until too late. But my consolation was that the image is burned into my brain. I will never forget it, but think I may try to get the next one. Won't be within an hours driving distance as the last one was, but near enough for an overnight trip.
