Hey Matt,
I have a habit of deleting other people's images as soon as I'm done with them out of respect so while I don't have the original I went back and tried it again. Although not exactly the same it was something close to the image below. S-

Good lord!!!! When I go back there -- the Cape, not China -- I am going to look more closely. I should have used f/16 to bring the mountain into sharper focus. But I was too focused (!) on the tree to see the forest. Or the mountain.

Gorgeous, pop511. Thank you. Wondrous magic. Matt

Matt;
Sometimes the silliest play seems to work out.
After looking at your picture I decided to add a mountain in the background and picked out Mt Fuji..Yeah I know right idea wrong country!
Changed it to B&W, reduced it's opacity, added a mask, brushed out the lower area and fitted it to your horizon.
This is the crazy part. I did nothing else. You can see by your upper branches that they are lighter from blending into the upper layer, and left the reduced opacity as it is.
Have Fun:

Have Fun:
Our younger son spent a year in Japan teaching English, and doing the post-college thing included the Olympics where he got to hold the torch and had a photo taken of him and the runner. He also did the Mt Fuji thing, still has his climbing stick with the appropriate markers and a photo taken of him at the peak at sunrise. He still talks of it. So I sent him the photo and told him that, pace Mohammed, the mountain came to me on the Cape. And it's there for him when he visits this August.

Thanks again.

BTW, I doubt I can do the PS work you detailed. Could you send me the file, by any chance, so that I can have a print made for my son? Not a problem if it's a problem.

Thanks

Matt
