Yesterday's Sunrise

Post by minniev » Sun Nov 11, 2018 3:22 pm

Kind of an odd effect, with the gold-ish fog burning off/rising, and the clear sky above. I've seen the gold fog many times, but never in a layer like this. The sky looked kinda like I'd done something weird in PS with the smudge or warp tool, but it did itself.

Since the sky with gold fog and clouds into the blue is what you are deeming as your subject here I would suggest some blurring of the foreground and some sharpening to the sky for a touch more accent...that could be achieved by whatever method you choose.....lovely image minniev..

Good ideas. Does it need flipping?

Strictly up to you but would give it better right to left flow, also a bit of lower left to upper right....

Minnie, gorgeous. Modest, not extreme like mine, seductive and stealing, not invasive, peaceful, settling, easing into night. Self-contained, happy, full but uncrowded. Masterful. I envy your eye. Matt

Thanks Matt, glad you like it. I was so glad to see a real sunrise and not just rain! We’ve had two weeks of rainy murky weather and now I’m headed out of town just as it clears up.

(It’s alla bout the light, like you’ve said).
