Wow, that's a magnificent sky! These formations work in color and monochrome. Well captured and edited. I hope you have more and will share more.

Breathtaking. Wonderful light, Golden Hour looks like. If you don't mind telling, where is that?

It's a funny story.

I've always wanted to visit the Tron Pinnacles so I added it to a trip up the 395. I had planned to shoot in the morning and move on but was so taken with the place I stayed over and scouted it. The main area runs north-south so I knew where to stand for sunset and got a few pictures. With the sun behind the mountain, I head back to the truck and saw a purple glow on the mountains on the opposite range so I rushed over and took a few shots. With the light is almost gone I turn once again and noticed an amazing purple glow. Luckily I knew where to stand and took the last images until the dying of the light.

I was surprised to see a sky that color, but was even more surprised I didn't just stand there and stare. Beautiful! S-

THANKS! And I am mildly ashamed to say we were never there despite 30 years in California! Admittedly I avoided dirt roads with normal cars because I destroyed on once getting to Bodie. (N)
