RUGGED country! Great shot, well composed and finished. That wonderful sky also helped make the light a little softer. Beautiful! (OK)
Friends call me Chuck. :photo: This link takes you to my Flickr albums. Please click on any album to scroll through it.
(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

It's not the prettiest bit of country, but it's close by, a mile in, and helps me find beauty in unexpected places. Thank you so much! S-

This is beautiful - the rolling mountains, the great light, the play of light and shadow, the amazing clouds.

I took the liberty of doing a tiny bit of tinkering, to raise the shadows beneath that nice tree. Now, if you can just catch a hiker walking around that curve in the trail, it would be a great brochure cover...

It's amazing how one thing can lead to another. I recently wrote the post about being a lazy photographer and was happy with the changes I made, but I hadn't thought about being a lazy editor and didn't realize I had become routine. Do this, do that, adjust here, filter there, and you're done. Something has been eating at me lately though so I went back and took another look.

All I could think is Wow the original is flat so I made some changes. I hope you like them! S-

For sure you brought more life into it! The colors are more vibrant and the contrast is a lot more distinct. Well done on the second look!

Thank you so much! I went back and forth on this one, trying to tell the story but not push it too far. S-
