If a tree falls in a forest, does it sound like a giraffe...

Terrific shot! I like your giraffe tree! I seem to recall we had a discussion a while back on trying, with mixed success, to shoot the forest for the trees or something. The conclusion was that it's hard! This works because the giraffe tree is dark against an otherwise uniformly lighter background of trees and creepers and down leaves. The giraffe is also on an angle, slashing across the otherwise uniform verticality of the the rest of the scene. The giraffe stands well out, plus ties the composition together. The what-I-call "print quality" is excellent, good scale, detail everywhere, much thanks to the exquisitely soft yet directional light.
