Nice job cleaning up the mud! I'll have to try it.

Minnie, This is beyond beauteous. Thank you for this moment. I agree with Bob Yankle about the yellow water and like his rendition. I especially like the trace of foam coming down. I can't see the green that others see, but I often don't perceive subtle gradations. For me, the scene works as is, with Bob's suggestion. (I keep being reminded by moments like this that I need to dive into PS. Tomorrow and tomorrow...) Matt

Minnie, As I look again at the strip of foam upstream, I see the royal dragon on his way down to the falls. I think the roar of the falls is really the sound of his joy in riding the river. Matt

Thank you Matt, glad you liked it. This was a lot of what I found in Quebec and Ontario - reasonably nice fall colors, lots of rain, and difficult approaches to scenes.

I'd encourage you to practice a little bit every day with PS (or whatever editing program you have) and learn something new at least once a week. Many of us here are not long time users or experts. I don't know a fraction of what I want to know, but I keep plodding away. Even us old dogs can learn a few new tricks!

Love the dragon metaphor, I see him too! (I enjoy your imagination)

Tell me what you think of this, including the viewpoint. All suggestions and/or edits welcome.

When I first looked at this I found it rather flat then I read what everyone else wrote and wondered what I was missing so I played with it a little to see what I could do. There's so much range in this image and so many ways to take this, but I keep coming back to the way you've left it. Love it! S-

Thanks. I think the sense of "flat" may come from the muddy water. Bob's edit made a real difference and livened the image up.
