Reminded me of the forest fires in MT where the sky glows like this and the air pulses with heat. I like the tiny hilltop line with the silhouetted grass, and the clarity of the clouds in the distance. I wouldn't crop; the clouds need space. Matt

Heh! I thought of the Magic Dragon as well. But what I didn't think of is whether this scene is a spectacular sunrise/sunset, or a disastrous wildfire! It could be either. The light seems to be coming low from left, but it's still lighting the upper parts of the clouds. A fire would tend to light the clouds (of smoke) from below, so it may not be a wildfire, but like you, Matt, I've seen plenty of wildfires all through the West, and yeah, they look like that. This one was burning in "The Bob" (Bob Marshall Wilderness) in Montana in 2010, about 4 in the afternoon:

I have fond memories of The Bob. When I was working at the college, we would take groups of freshmen on three day/nights camping trips as part of orientation and community building. We slept, 10-20 in a group under huge tarps. I would get up very early to walk through the mists just before sunrise. I can still smell the air and feel the chill of a September morning among the groves. Matt I
