I don't think it lacks a thing. As usual I can't really analyze why it works so well for me (I'm sure it has much to do with the lines formed by the crossing of the trunks and the placement, not to mention the light). I've stood in many a forest attempting to "shoot the forest for the trees," and I have pretty much always failed. Your picture works, Steve. I think it's lovely and you have managed to somehow capture "the forest for the trees." :thanks:
Friends call me Chuck. :photo: This link takes you to my Flickr albums. Please click on any album to scroll through it.
(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

Thank you so much! I'm going to keep working on it but this helps. Thank you! S-

Yes if it suits you Steve, after all it's your vision....I see some shadow lifted on the right side trunk of the fallen tree.

I'm still working through Lightroom, and am just learning masking, but already see the benefit in lifting the shadows. I'm sure there's more though and am so grateful for you helping me to see it. Like all of the images, I post please feel free to show your edit if you like, and thank you again! S-
