Adirondack Chairs

Post by Bob's Photography »

I put this shot up in my regular places, even though "I" was not thrilled with it, I thought it was "OK". Now it was pushed to the top of my 100+ images on one of the voting sites. Am I missing something? Is it the serenity or something? Maybe people are voting for it because the shots it was up against were crap? What do you guys (and gals) think about it? :?

Well Bob, I think it's an ok shot, but nothing to write home about.

It might be better if you had shot shot from a higher view point and showed more of the water and less of the stark branches and dull sky.

Yes, I agree, that's why I'm questioning the dumb voting. When I do some voting myself a LOT of times I pass, because both shots are so bad I can't decide.

Bob, gotta admit, I agree with you... I see nothing in there in terms of light, subject or emotion that for me justifies pushing it up the vote count. We've all got images like this. I've recently sold some like this for advertising purposes. I had better but the client wanted them. So, no accounting for taste... :)
