add new layer....clone tool...change layer blend mode to darken..sample and paint over the trees...adjust to taste..open both images in new tab and toggle the tabs to see..

this simple mind thanks you. clone PLUS darken mode, will give that a shot in the future. Thanks! That is pretty cool, darken would only touch the pixels you screw with.

still have to pay attention to sample area, opacity, and what not but can be blended fairly easily...good for halos and stuff....good luck

I am happy with the concept, turning some clouds into a battle scape - but I feel the implementation has been horrible. At least I got this far (now I have a vision of what I'd like) - I pretty much started with the cloudscape and in each stage of processing just ruined it more and more. I will start from scratch and leave all the processing out until after the figures appear...
This image grabbed me! Creepy scary and imaginative. I thought the yellow around his mouth was his rancid bad breath!!
