Pretty place to hang out on a cold morning. All suggestions appreciated.

This reminds me of the time I lived in Denver back in the early 70's. We would take a Sunday day trip to the mountains just to have something to do ... adventurous wise. This image seems to be missing something. Yes, there is excellent color tone but the composition is not up to your normal images. I know you have more, with more to offer.

I'm coming up with (subject) as the answer to Dave's "seems to be missing something"...can't figure out if the foreground is what's on display here or the background...both are nice but I think I would try to downplay the foreground a bit and concentrate on bringing out the background..... compositionally, part of the issue could be the pond turning the eye a bit left and not letting it follow the path right to the background.....

I had a hard time figuring out how to use the winding streams that were sometimes impossible to get on the “right” side of. I have more, but not sure I ever conquered the challenge of Beaver Meadows.

I probably have 50 images at this place but I’m not sure any of them are exactly how I wanted. The stream was pretty and water is always good, but it was harder to work with that a big fat lake where I could get a nice reflection. I’ll share more!
