I'm calling it a landscape but it is really a picture of a cloud. The cloudbank ran along the water, then rose, then curled over the island and swallowed it. I shot this in midway through the show. I don't know if it can convey anything like what I saw, probably not. All suggestions appreciated. I tried black and white, and it did OK, but the blues were part of the effect so I left it in its muted natural color.

I like it very much - you got the cold feel of the awesome North West.

Thanks. The Northwest is indeed awesome, and very very wild.

My only suggestion would be to de-haze the back ground a bit.....not sure if it would make it any better though a I have not tried it...

I very much like it! I feel it's a right track thing, but for me something seems lacking, like savor in the soup. To me there is nothing at all wrong per se, the picture is wonderfully dramatic, so I suspect it's something in the finishing. Don't. know. what... (?)
Friends call me Chuck. :photo: This link takes you to my Flickr albums. Please click on any album to scroll through it.
(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

I am gonna try Frank's suggestion. The haze is ever present there, but doesn't give the best backdrops for images.
