Making Photoshop Brushes

Post by minniev » Fri Oct 05, 2018 4:15 pm

Do you create custom brushes in Photoshop? If so, would you share your experience? This is something I'm just starting. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using ... ushes.html I'd love to hear more from others, and share ideas.

Here is my starter piece. The bird is the one in this photo viewtopic.php?f=89&t=4408. It seems to help if the image is high contrast but I could be mistaken on that.

I haven’t tried anything but shape brushes. But I shall. I’m in my country house for a few days and since my grandson maintains an extensive array of art tools I’m gonna try watercolors for the heck of it.

Yep, then take a picture of the splats and strokes and turn them into brushes.

Like this a lot, Minnie. Very "Italian," if there is such a critique. Matt
