Spider disco on a misty morning

Post by Matt Quinn » Sun Apr 29, 2018 3:05 am

Spotted this spider nest early this morning out the back door and played with it in Topaz, Color Effex and Lightroom. Must be a crowded dance floor.

I like this very much! It has a will-o-th'-wisp-y quality, lit from within, very charming. And indeed the background is perfect. I think this is an exceptional job, very imaginative and well done! (OK)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

good background for it,
Thanks Piet. I'll ponder a haiku. Yesterday was a drug-induced muddle, so I couldn't focus. Or maybe I should have tried; would have been interesting to reread on a Sunday morning over my second cup. I'll post if something occurs. Matt

I like the ethereal quality a lot Matt. Spider Disco? So that's what they are? I've tried for years to do something with them but never thought to go wider and softer like you did. Yours is a lot better than mine. I have a host of failed spider discos on my drives, of which this is only the most recent...

Thanks Minnie. Yes, all those creatures, great and small, dance and sing till dawn. We have a lot to learn. Matt
