Piet, I posted something this morning in this thread but I don't see it. Any idea what might have happened? Matt
no idea at all Matt - good gosh. Please repost it - whatever it is, I would like to see it!

Piet,

This is not a repost since I have lost that. But the main idea was that I had completely missed your point in your haiku and encourage you to keep working it till you're happy. And then post it. I would like to see it.

In the meantime, as a companion and, maybe, an encouragement, here is what emerged this morning after a night's sleep after an evening of ruminating on your intent. Matt

blown down random waves
bleak light now calls us onward
little boat be brave

soon to bed I go
closer now, but not there yet
be brave and foolish

in rolling deep waves
and mist I go farther still
drifting, lost, smiling

Love this back and frothing. Delightful.

May I change one word in mine? From random to raging. Raging waves sounds and seems better.

Tag. Your turn.

raging I like - heading in your direction!

her neck
long and pale
she only wants
companion ship

on the deck
long faced and pale
the men stare in fear
and in wonder

at last her neck
long and pale
breaks the mast
and drags
the lonely ship
under

About being lost and waves, Steve's backyard makes me think of waves. And places like Joshua Tree in CA..

took the last image and used ACR to bring shadows to the right, brights to the left, and reset blacks and whites to the edges. Definitely brought out a lot of detail (which may or may not be good for a fog scene) - but anyway, while ETTR is about capture, What to do with in Post is perhaps even more critical!
