this is an interesting redo... pulled up the last one and did ACR adjustment where I slid shadows to the right and brights to the left and then adjusted white point and black point (something that I will have to remember to include in my workflow). Just for comparison purposes, I think it looks less foggy, makes it pop more.

I like your haiku - rams is better. I need to work on another cut, but until I get my head straight, since you mention thick fog, I layer in some of the clouds I shot this afternoon, and gave it a cooler-spookier (I hope) green/blue mood.
