Taking ON1 Photo RAW 2018 HDR (Tonemapping) for a spin

The production version of ON1 Photo RAW 2018 was released just last week, after 4 Beta versions had been tested. Their new facility to blend Automatic Exposure Brackets works seamlessly, providing a tone-mapped image in the Browse Module which is a good foundation on which to add filters and presets in the Effects Module. This was a quick experiment to put it through its paces.

You'll have to explain this for me, what's tone mapping and how does it differ from HDR? S-
