you always confuse me Matt....a well done image I like very much but am leery to try constructive comment...in simple terms give an opinion on what I think might improve as you post in showcase.

I like the mystery of the backlit man and what it is that he might be looking at. Beautiful clouds and the feeling I have it that a mighty ocean is just behind the crest.

...storm clouds gather. While a neighbor walks his dog.

Give an opinion anytime you want, Piet. I may not post in the right section but don't let that stop you. I can always blame a drugged mind. Matt

Frank, Sorry, I meant to send to you the reply I sent to Piet. See? The drugs. Matt

Piet, the man is out for a wee walk with his dog before the storm. Over the crest is more neighborhood, a highway, US Rte 70 and a Harris Teeter Shopping Center. An imagined ocean is more to my liking, though. Thanks. Matt

Agree with Piet...

and thus is the magic of photography and other art forms. What you reveal and what you don't reveal is the mystery that captivates our imagination and allows us as viewers to weave a story from it. This happens almost instantly and effortlessly when we view a well crafted image. Which this is. Nice conversion, too.

I'll answer to most anything Matt and knew what you meant so no need to apologize sir...since you went a bit to the dark side I thought I'd give you a quick, poorly done version for Halloween......

OMG, Frank. Those two faces in the sky, upper middle, sharing a central eye!!!! And the fox on the left!!! A fearful, wondrous menagerie! No wonder the doggie needed out. If this is quick and poorly done, I can't conceive what would be masterful. No need to show. This is enough. Did you use PS? Would I have to do that to get this effect? Not going there, my friend. Having enough trouble with life as is. Can I copy this somehow to scare my sons and grandchildren? If so, how do I do that? Lots of questions, questions, questions. A curious fellow on this end. Many thanks. Matt
