Duluth, Minnesota

Post by TomCofer » Wed Jun 07, 2017 2:12 pm

Here are some of the shots that I took while visiting Duluth. Unfortunately, we didn't catch a ship going under the bridge. The pano shots didn't come out as well as I'd hoped, but I gave it a shot.

Duluth meant so much to our tiny family. Matt went to school at UMD. We were up and down from Madison so many times we lost count. We loved the place. We loved the region. Daphne's and my last road trip together was up there, in 2015. So I'm sitting here getting all soggy. I sent links to both your posts to my son. Duluth is a place we would have happily lived.

Sorry for the sadness it causes Chuck.
I spent several of my growing up years there (11-16), mostly in Proctor. My dad was in the Air Force and worked on the base that used to be there. Later, he got out and we stayed. He was the only certified Brunswick bowling machine mechanic around. This was my first trip back in almost 40 years.

No worries, Tom. It's a good kind of sadness. :| I love the pictures!

I love how images can invoke memories and take us back to our past. Thank you again for another wonderful series! S-

I have only seen Minnesota from I-90. These are interesting and enjoyable photos, thanks!
