Nice documentary of the lighthouse. I'm surprised that the lighthouse needed three caretakers. Does that equate to three keepers or did the caretakers have other duties.

Back in the day, the signal was operated by weights, kinda like grandfather clocks and such and had to be reset regularly. It was isolated until a road was built. Then it became a bit of a tourist attraction and they had to also act as tour guides. Keep in mind, when it was first built, the light source was from kerosene too. :)

Just wonderful! Terrific set! We've been in the park a couple of times but never stayed. I've made a few pictures from a considerable distance. Now I'm so far away I will probably never get back so THANK you, Tom!

Thanks folks.
Initially, we were only going to go up there to grab a few shots of the lighthouse. My sister-in-law insisted that we go ahead and take the tour. I'm so glad that she did. I really enjoyed it.
