It saddens me to forward the news that our good friend and fellow photographer, Matt Quinn, has passed.
As some of you may know, he had been battling cancer for a while and was on his way to recovery.
Please take a moment to remember him in your prayers.

Elizabeth and the Triplets

I've named the gentle lady with the nearest-to-front nest in the rookery, the only one that is situated where I can see the babies unobstructed. This isn't a good photo what with breakthrough noon light, the limitations of my camera and lens, and no way to proceed any closer (probably not a good idea anyway, as it would stress the new and expectant moms). So I maxed out my lens through the trees, cropped much more than I should, and here she is.

that kid is Gigantic already! Much to be said for the egg process I guess. Love the fuzzy head.

Elizabeth seems to be ahead of the group. Most of the other ladies are sitting firmly on their prizes. One fellow was working feverishly to build a nest, so he is still hopeful there's an eligible lady out there. I so wish I could get closer!
