LOL - looks to me like Duncan is waiting for you to look the other way - so that he can steal a can of tuna fish, or whatever else you left on the kitchen table when you wandered away!

How did you KNOW? Duncan is an absolute Chow Hound and has got begging for food down to an art.

What makes this shot is the expression. Many of your animal shots are all about their exquisite detail. The detail is there in this one too, but is overshadowed by the strength of personality that's conveyed.

One of the things I love about Shih Tzus is that those big round eyes always look somewhat "puppy-like" to me. My best furry friend is 11 years old, but still reminds me of a wee one.
