Lovely portraits! The last time I got that (apparently) close to a Llama he tried to bite the rubber sunshade off my lens, then spit on the lens. I think I still have the picture someplace. I managed to get one off before he slimed me. :D
Friends call me Chuck. :photo: This link takes you to my Flickr albums. Please click on any album to scroll through it.
(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

He's a darling. He does look like he's gearing up for a good spit, and he's got mischief on his face. But he's beautiful. The profile picture is my favorite, love the detail and the context.

Thank you all! Chuck, "apparent" closeness was via a super zoom bridge camera :) Minnie, "context" - I forgot to mention that all those dots in the sky are flying insects - lol. With that sx50 it was sometimes difficult to remember that not going full focal length is often more interesting than closer. I too like to see environmental clues. With the Olympus I'm using now, I get best of both worlds: 2x digital zoom jpg + the wider (normal focal length) raw.

I love the colors of the first but blue and orange are always complimentary to one another. It's a wonderful portrait! S-
